The comprehensive eye examination provides the means to evaluate the function of the health of the eyes & visual system. It also provides the means to identify the presence of other ocular or systemic conditions that may exist without symptoms. It involves collecting subjective data directly from the patient & obtaining objective data by observation, examination & testing. 

The goals of the comprehensive eye & vision examination are - 

  • To evaluate the functional status of the eyes & visual system

  • Assess ocular health & related systematic health conditions

  • Establish a diagnosis

  • Formulate a treatment & management plan

  • Counsel & educate the patient regarding his condition including recommendations for treatment, management & further care

  • Auto Refraction (AR)

  • Non Contact Tonometer (NCT)

  • Visual Acuity Tests

  • Dilated Eye Exam

  • Retinoscopy

  • Slit Lamp Exam
